Classical education is a system that enhances education by a harnessing students' capacity for wonder. Such wonder requires discipline and a virtuous life in order to grow. Classical schools are noted for their attention to the traditional methods of teaching that led to the rise of western civilization. Students move from absorbing and being attracted to beauty, goodness and truth to deeply understanding their role and how to explain these connections to others. Classical schools in the Catholic tradition are focused on Jesus' promise that "the truth will set you free," (John 8:32).
